Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School officially opened for students in PreK- 5 for the 2022-2023 School Year. Constructed with the generous support from the school family through a bond issue in 2019, BBHES is a state-of-the-art learning campus that offers students the most innovative, technologically equipped and highest quality learning resources among new educational facilities being constructed. In total, the 145,000 square foot school facility is situated on approximately 55 beautiful acres of property as part of the Blossom Hill location. Through an extensive partnership with our municipalities, BBHES shares a first class field house, and features collaborative learning spaces, a courtyard area for outdoor classroom experiences, a blended cafetorium for performing arts and student meal needs and more.
Meeting the social and emotional needs of students in grade PreK-5 is of the highest priority, and BBHES strives to do that with its architectural design and building layout. Several sensory rooms are located in various wings of the facility to help students prepare or recharge mentally and emotionally during moments of anxiety, and a loving staff is available to care and nurture for the whole child. Cocoa, our very own therapy dog, provides students who desire a furry companion to rebalance and destress, continually walks the halls of BBHES.
In all, Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School is a generational facility that will prepare and promote our school community’s future elementary students for a new era of academic, co-curricular and social and emotional success.
