Dear Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! As we begin, together, once again for the start to a new school year, I thank the community for their partnership during this past twelve months, and look forward with significant excitement, to all that awaits our school family in the future. This year is certain to invigorate the Bees community, as we press forward with several key initiatives. The first is the unveiling of our strategic plan, which will be shared at an upcoming State of the Schools presentation that will take place in October 2024. At this event, the community will learn more about the refreshed mission, to rigorously educate, boldly empower, and collaboratively engage... all of those in our educational orbit, along with our vision, to become the destination school district, and our values, goals, and steps to achieving them. Those will be posted in the near future and on behalf of everyone in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, we invite you to join us on this bold adventure.
Our Campus Master Planning Committee has already been convening to closely examine the logistical considerations, traffic flow, amenity needs, safety, and future enhancements of the BBHCSD locations along Mill Road, including the former Hilton Elementary property, the Middle School, and the High School. Community members, active parents, elected officials, and more, have joined together to review possibilities and explore future alternatives and improvements. Stay tuned for more information in the near future about the exciting work of the Campus Master Planning Committee.
The 2024-2025 school year marks my 25th year in education and I can honestly communicate that the past 12 months in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools has been as enjoyable, constructive, and redeeming in this capacity as Superintendent as I have experienced. I thank you for the welcome this past year and the motivation to confidently pursue new endeavors, rich ideas, and thoughtful learning experiences alongside the children of this community and our treasured staff. Thank you for your continued support.
GO BEES!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey D. Harrison
Superintendent
