As a participant of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), our menus follow the USDA guidelines to provide nutritionally balanced meals to our students. In effort to be in compliance with the federal guidelines, we are required to offer weekly requirements for whole grains, low fat and fat free milk, meat and meat alternates, fruit, and a variety of vegetables including the following subgroups: red/orange, legumes, dark green, and starchy vegetables. In addition, specific levels of calories, saturated fat, and sodium must be met according to grade level on both a daily and weekly basis.
