Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School spotlighted the creativity and dedication of sixth-grade students by hosting a ‘Young Authors and Illustrators Book Launch’ event in the cafeteria on Friday, May 17, 2024. The program was the culmination of the diligent work of students since September which involved brainstorming, writing, editing, and illustrating their selected written works including stories, poems, and cookbooks. Most books were created in digital format while a small number were handwritten. Parents, teachers, and other district staff had the opportunity to interact with each student author, as well as learn more about and sign each book. Students were excited to share their sources of inspiration and their overall experience of writing and creating their book. The imagination, hard work, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness of each student were reflected in their presentations.
