Dear BBHCSD Community,
With great excitement, the Board of Education is pleased to announce that they intend to select Jeff Harrison as the new Superintendent of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, effective August 1st, 2023.
According to Board of Education President Mark Dosen, "The Board is thrilled to announce the intention to select Jeff Harrison as our next superintendent. His background, experience, leadership, energy and passion for education make him the ideal choice for our district. We thank all those from our community who participated in the survey, focus groups, and stakeholder interview process, as this collaborative involvement was invaluable. Congratulations and welcome aboard Jeff!"
Jeff Harrison comes to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools with a comprehensive background in public education leadership roles, including his current position as Superintendent of the Buckeye Local Schools. In addition, he has served in various roles including district and athletic administration, high school building leadership and began his career as a social studies teacher more than twenty years ago.
"I'm both honored and humbled to be selected as the next Superintendent for what I and many others view as one of the premier school districts in the state of Ohio," said Mr. Harrison. "I thank the Board of Education for the opportunity to serve the communities of Brecksville and Broadview Heights, and I look forward to working alongside an outstanding staff, while preparing our students to be successful in a highly competitive society."
The Board of Education intends to formalize Mr. Harrison's hiring at a meeting next week, and will also share an opportunity for the community to meet-and-greet with him in the near future.
