BBHCSD Recognizes Red Ribbon Week Throughout the District All Week Long

Students at all grades will recognize Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 23rd as a way to help encourage children to make wise and healthy decisions in their school and personal lives. Each day during the week is themed to promote Red Ribbon Week, and begins with Monday, which is Bee Loved Day, where students are encouraged to wear the color red to show that they love themselves. On Tuesday, students will celebrate Bee a Superhero Day, Wednesday is Bee Healthy Day, and students will dress in their favorite sports gear. On Thursday, for Bee Well Day, students will wear pajamas to demonstrate health and getting enough sleep, and Friday will be Costume Day, to celebrate Halloween. High School students from S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and the Key Club visited elementary students to help them by writing on red hearts what they like about themselves. The BBHCSD has celebrated Red Ribbon Week in support of the National Family Partnership, who has worked tirelessly to help students make wise decisions, promote the harmful effects of drug use, and affirm our students for being themselves.
