On behalf of everyone in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, please join the district in congratulating seniors Benjamin Brobst, Bridget Butler, Kate Butler, Hana Mazak, William Minatel, Arjun Sheth, and Evan Sugano for earning the high achievement of becoming National Merit Semi-Finalists for 2023. This honor is awarded for their outstanding performance, their exceptional commitment to academic excellence, and their ability to excel in a rigorous academic environment. In order to qualify as a 2023 National Merit Semi-Finalist, students undergo a rigorous selection process. These BBHHS students excelled in the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as the initial screening tool. The 2023 qualification requirements included achieving a PSAT/NMSQT Selection Index score that placed them among the highest-scoring students in the nation. The nationwide pool of Semi-Finalists, represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. Please join the BBHCSD for recognizing the achievement of this group of students, as they have reached their own potential and have also brought honor, respect and national accomplishment to our community.
