Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School is buzzing with excitement over the debut of a book vending machine for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. The new book vending machine was purchased through a generous “Reading is Rewarding” grant from the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation and stocked with an assortment of engaging book titles by the BBHES PSO. Preschool through grade 5 students will have the opportunity to earn gold tokens to purchase a book of their choice through the building’s PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) program by modeling positive behaviors and character traits. The book vending machine will serve as a powerful tool to help motivate students to “Bee their Best” academically and in how they behave while fostering a greater love of reading and a lifelong commitment to learning.
