Abby Elswick had the distinct opportunity to shadow BBHCSD Superintendent Joelle Magyar recently, as part of the ongoing fun mentorship initiative where students can be Superintendent for the Day. In doing so, Abby had a chance to participate in some of the most important tasks in which Superintendent Magyar is involved. Those included attending administrative meetings, touring some of the school buildings and a little bit of office work responding to inquiries. Abby and Superintendent Magyar then visited the site of the new PreK-5 facility at Blossom Hill to see firsthand the updates and upgrades that are ongoing. In all, the Superintendent for the Day initiative seeks to provide students with an opportunity to live the daily life of the leader of our district with a variety of hands-on learning experiences, with a little bit of fun as well.
