BBHMS Student Sydney Daum Named Winner of Vax-A-Million Scholarship Drawing
Congratulations to our very own rising 8th Grade student at BBHMS, Sydney Daum, who won Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's final round of the state's Vax-a-Million drawing earlier this week! For winning, Sydney will receive a full-ride scholarship, including four years of paid tuition, books and room-and-board at an Ohio public university or college... all for taking responsibility and getting vaccinated. Sydney was congratulated in-person by Governor DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine earlier this week (click here to view a picture from their meeting).

More than 150,000 Ohioans ages 12-17 entered into the drawing for a college scholarship, and Sydney's name was drawn during a selection overseen by the Ohio Auditor of State earlier this week. Sydney is described by her peers and her instructors at the Middle School as a 'great student,' participating in Orchestra, and reading more than 50 books this past school year.

The BBHCSD community can view a story regarding the wonderful news about Sydney, and her winning of the final round of Governor DeWine's Vax-a-Million full scholarship drawing on the WKYC Channel 3 website.
