BBHCSD Kicks Off Community-Based Master Facilities Committee Work
Thank you to the nearly 40 individuals who participated in the first of a series of community-based meetings designed to review options for facilities and campus upgrades along the Mill Road corridor of the BBHCSD. Superintendent Jeff Harrison kicked off the meeting with an introduction of the purpose of these meetings, in order to share plans designed by district-contracted architecture partners, and members of the community. We thank both Mayor Sam Alai from the City of Broadview Heights and Mayor Daryl Kingston from the City of Brecksville, along with members of both community’s city councils, past and present, Board of Education members, PSO representatives, and more. Several plan concepts were shown and small groups discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each, in order to share feedback for potential next steps. Future use of the Hilton Elementary site, athletic amenity upgrades, and traffic flow and connectivity considerations were all shared and discussed. The next meeting for this group will take place later this summer in August during which more plans and details will be shared.
