The Art Hall and Media Hall of Hilton Elementary was transformed into a science lab as part of the Science Discovery Zone program on Friday, January 26th. Each hallway featured four different age appropriate experiments regarding the various states of matter, including their properties and factors which cause them to change from one state to another. Parent-volunteers explained and modeled how to perform each experiment, and then provided students the opportunity to conduct the experiment on their own and engage in exploratory learning. Students then shared their observations and participated in an interactive discussion with the parent-volunteer. Thank-you to all parent-volunteers for helping to make Hilton’s Science Discovery Zone Day a success!
