Marko Laszlo is Superintendent for the Day
Marko Laszlo

Chippewa third grade student, Marko Laszlo, began his week by going to the Board of Education Office, rather than to his own Elementary School so that he could shadow Superintendent Joelle Magyar for the day, courtesy of a fundraising effort sponsored by the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation. Offering the opportunity to bid on the chance to spend the day with Superintendent Magyar, Marko’s parents, Daniel and Petra Laszlo, recently won the bidding competition which gave their son the opportunity to see firsthand all of the responsibilities regularly associated with Superintendent Magyar’s day. Some of these included the presiding over her weekly cabinet meeting, visiting buildings to observe classrooms, interacting with members of the Board of Education, providing an interview for story and asking questions of the administrative team. His day culminated with a presentation he made at the regular meeting of the Board of Education.

Marko has one sister, Lily, who is a sixth-grade student at BBHMS, and two brothers, Oliver, a kindergarten student and Dominick, a one-year old future Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bee. He is the son of parents Daniel and Petra Laszlo. Marko is quick to point out that he would like to be in the United State Air Force one day, following a passion he has for airplanes and flight, since he has made more than a half-dozen trans-Atlantic trips to Hungary, which is a country of origin for his family. Congratulations to Marko Laszlo for officially being named Superintendent for the Day in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, thank you to his parents for the funds raised in this effort, and to the BBH Schools Foundation for the opportunity.
