The BBHHS Robotics Team 2011 delivered impressive performances at the North Union Doubleheader Tournament on Saturday, December 12, 2020, including a first-place finish, Skills Award recognition, and qualifying for the State Robotics Tournament on March 5th! During the team-based portion of the competition, two alliances – one “red” and one “blue, composed of two teams each, competed on a 12’x12’ square field. Each alliance faced off against the other in matches featuring a fifteen second autonomous or programmed period followed by one minute and forty-five seconds of driver-controlled play. The Alliance which scored the most points by placing balls in goals and connecting rows won each match. Teams 2011F and 2011D joined together to secure the tournament victory,. In addition, Teams 2011F, 2011D and 2011C each qualified for the State Tournament in 2021!
Team 2011D received special recognition by winning the Skills Award competition, during which one individual team competes on the playing field at a time and attempts to score as many points as possible in one minute, during an autonomous (programmed) run, and driver-controlled run.
The Robotics Team 2011 is led by advisors Craig Kowatch and Ryan Goubeaux.
