BBHMS Teacher, Maria Schneider, Wins FUTP 60-MVP Award
Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School Physical Education Teacher, Mrs. Maria Schneider, has been selected as a “Fuel Up To Play 60- Most Valuable Player Award,” and will participate in the FUTP 60 Program Advisor Academy professional workshop at First Energy Stadium on September 25, 2018. At this workshop, Mrs. Schneider will learn more about topics such as cultivating student leaders, building student confidence to be agents of positive change, and reinforcing classroom curriculum with the tools of FUTP 60. Mrs. Schneider has been given this very special opportunity because of her dedication to raising awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research over the years.  For a decade, Maria has organized a kickball game for Middle School students and teachers on the last day of school, which has raised more than $250,000 to help support childhood cancer patients.  The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools congratulates Maria Schneider on this honor and thanks her for demonstrating a consistent and passionate commitment to our students, district and community.
