Highland Elementary Scores $500 Donation for STEAM Room and Maker’s Club

Due in part to a donation from the generous parents at Highland Elementary School, a new 3D printers will be available to students in the very near future to promote practice, hands-on learning. Headed to the classroom of Morgan Kolis, the 3D printer along with other specific supplies that will help apply the printer’s capabilities in projects, the intent with this new Maker Space technology is to allow students to visualize projects which help to supplement the curriculum they each learn in the classroom revolving around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) instruction. Morgan Kolis will become proficient on the 3D printer and then share the wisdom and application skills she learns with her students next semester. Thank you to the parents who were involved with making this donation possible and to Morgan Kolis for going above and beyond the call of duty to help our students learn with practical knowledge and hands-on experience.
