Hilton Students Tape Principal Martin to Wall to Support Box Tops for Education Fundraiser
Hilton Box Tops Fundraiser

As a fun and memorable way to promote support for the ongoing Box Tops for Education Fundraiser at Hilton Elementary School, students were provided the opportunity to duct tape Principal Martin to the wall in the cafeteria! To participate, students received one strip of duct tape for every fifty box top clips collected and turned in to their classroom teacher. Approximately forty-one students in grades PreK thru 3rd participated in the fun lunch-time activity. With the help of PSO volunteers, students were called up by name and given strips of duct tape to place over Principal Martin. The cafeteria at Hilton Elementary was filled with cheers and excitement throughout the entire event, especially when the milk crate Principal Martin was standing upon was finally removed to reveal that he really was taped to the wall! All donated box top clips, which are worth ten cents each and found on hundreds of product packages, will be counted and submitted to Box Tops for Education. The funds received from Box Tops for Education will be used to purchase classroom items, sponsor educational activities and more at Hilton Elementary. A big thank-you to all Hilton students, parents, teachers, and of course, Principal Martin for supporting the Box Tops for Education Fundraiser!
