Hilton Elementary Hosts First Ever Box Tops Soccer Game
Box Tops Soccer Game

As part of an ongoing effort to encourage students to support Box Tops for Education, Hilton Elementary hosted its first ever Box Tops Soccer Game on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  Students who donated 250 box tops earned the opportunity to face off against Principal Martin in a friendly soccer match in the school gym!  In addition, all students who donated fifty box tops had the chance to watch and cheer on the participants during the game.  Approximately nine students participated in the soccer match, with three students in grades K-2 on Team A, and six third-graders on Team B.  Dan Schreiber, Offensive Coordinator for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Varsity Football Team, served as the referee.  During the match, students sitting on the sideline had the opportunity to speak into a microphone to cheer on and give their fellow classmates an assist by distracting Principal Martin.  The funds received from Box Tops for Education have helped to fund many important projects at Hilton Elementary, including playground equipment and instructional materials.  Thank you to all Hilton students for supporting their school!
