Facilities Committee Hosts Informative and Collaborative Kick-Off Meeting

A group of approximately 35 individuals met earlier this week in an introductory fashion, to officially kick-off the mission of analyzing, reporting and educating the community about the current state of the buildings and facilities of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District. Together with members from the community, Board of Education, district officials and business leaders, the group listened to a presentation opened by Superintendent Joelle Magyar and then delivered by Director of Business services Christopher Coad and representatives from ThenDesign Architecture. Over the last six months, Chris Smith and Cheryl Fisher from ThenDesign,  have spent a great deal of time assessing the true conditions of the buildings and analyzing future options. During the meeting, the group formed and broke-out into several sub-committees, including finance, facilities, academics and communications, from which the community will be hearing from in the near future. At present, the full Facilities Committee is anticipating meeting on a regular basis to continue assessing and analyzing the true conditions of our buildings while preparing and analyzing possible Master Facilities plans for the Board’s consideration. Please stay tuned for more information forthcoming from the Facilities Committee. Thank you for your continued support of the BBHCSD.
