Chippewa Elementary Collects 900 Socks to Help Local Children
The generosity of students and staff at Chippewa Elementary School recently took on the form of gathering and donating toddler socks for those in need. As part of the appropriately named Share a Pair… Wear a Pair initiative, a devoted sock collection effort got underway over the last few weeks to help children at Beech Brook, a longstanding behavioral health organization in Northeast Ohio that helps to protect the area’s most vulnerable children. Through the efforts and hard work of all involved, an incredible 900 pairs of socks were donated to help these children. As a way to celebrate the success and charity of the week, a “Crazy Sock Day” was held where students could wear their respective and most fun pair of socks. On behalf of everyone in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, thank you to the generosity of those who participated in Chippewa Elementary School’s Share a Pair… Wear a Pair initiative.
