BBHMS Students Win Awards at Scholastic Art Competition
BBHMS students won 8 awards at the 2020 Cuyahoga County Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Maansi Mahalaha won a Gold Key for her printmaking project titled “Squash the Bug”. Jasmijn Plusnin won a Gold Key for her ceramic project titled “Tiny Tile Bench”. Rachel Zelinsky won a Silver Key for her printmaking project titled “Wolf at the Disco”. Honorable Mention winners are Katrina Chen (Printmaking “Peacock of the Gods”), Hailey Ellis (Ceramics “Blue Dragon”), Payton Hodges (Printmaking “Dragon”), Djordje Tackovic (Printmaking “Self-Portrait”), and Djordje Tackovic “(Ceramics “Blue Mask”)
Gold Key and Silver Key winning art projects will be on display at the Cleveland Institute of Art until February 1st. Gold Key winners will move on to the National Competition in New York.
