BBHHS Students Take First Place in Environthon Competition, Advance to State Match
Congratulations goes out to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School students who recently took first place in the regional Environthon competition, advancing as just one of two groups of students in the district, out of a total of 55 teams, to the State contest next month in June!  The top 4 teams from each of the 5 regions throughout the State of Ohio, advance to the 3-day competition, June 10th-12th, at Cedarville University in Southwest Ohio. The team which earns first place in this State competition will compete nationally in Idaho later next month, with the opportunity to earn cash prizes that totaled nearly $30,000 in last year’s national contest.  The Environthon Team would like to thank the generosity of a donor who has provided a $300 scholarship to pay for the costs associated with our trip to Cedarville.  Congratulations to Dan Reynolds, the group’s advisor, and team members Zeke Churchin, Cassidy Naypauer, Frank Zhu and Patrick Potoczak.
