To help students learn about our planet and the environment, Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School hosted a series of engaging activities for Earth Week from April 17th-21st. Each activity took place during recess and featured a unique theme and community partner. Students were able to learn about garbage, recycling, and compost with representatives from The City of Brecksville Service Department, Rumpke, and the PSO Green Team. The BBHES PSO along with resources from The Cleveland Natural History Museum helped students explore various ocean habitats. Students also learned about water with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Flora and Fauna with staff from the Cleveland Metropark-Brecksville Nature Center, and biodiversity in nature with members of the Emerald Necklace Garden Club and Cleveland Museum of Natural History-Trout Club. Thank you to the BBHES PSO and to the many volunteers for planning and supervising fun Earth Week festivities for our students!
