Joe Labas, a standout performer on the football team at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, and Bees alumnus, Mike Rose, who plays football at Iowa State University, have been named a finalist in their respective categories for the 21st
annual Greater Cleveland Sports Awards ceremony. Both selected as one of three finalists among all male athletes from Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark and Summit county, this constitutes a highly impressive accomplishment on its own merit, and worthy of the community’s recognition and praise. Joe Labas is a finalist for the Male High School Athlete of the Year, and Mike Rose is a finalist for Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year. As finalists, Joe and Mike’s accomplishments will be judged among two other student-athletes for the coveted title of Male Athlete of the Year, which will be live broadcasted on Thursday, Mar. 4, 2021 at 7 p.m.
