The Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Unified Sports Team proudly hosted its very first flag football competition on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the stadium. Five area high schools joined in for some friendly competition on the gridiron, including Strongsville, Max Hayes, St. Edward, North Olmsted, Cuyahoga Falls, and Highland. Each school’s team had a chance to be introduced running through the iconic Bee inflatable before the start of the competition. After a stirring performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by members of the BBHHS Chamber Choir, the event kicked off with multiple games occurring simultaneously on the turf field. Unified Sports provides meaningful opportunities for both students with special needs and their student partners to interact, collaborate, and form friendships through various team sports activities.
