Taekwondo Instructors Visit BBHMS PE Classes

BBHMS students had the unforgettable experience of learning and practicing elements of the art of Taekwondo during Physical Education classes on Monday, September 23rd and Friday, September 27th. Instructors from Brecksville Taekwondo including Owner/Founder/Chief Instructor, Jason Pierantozzi (Mr. P), and Associate Instructor, Nikolina Milenkovic (Mrs. M), worked with students to learn several key movements such as flying side kick and spinning kick, as well as proper form using practice nunchucks. Students also learned how to properly strike practice boards with several students taking the challenge to break a real wood board! Independently owned and operated with ATA Martial Arts (American Taekwondo Association), Brecksville Taekwondo offers classes for all ages and levels at the Brecksville Human Services building.

The Taekwondo sessions and other tutorials, including martial arts, yoga, self defense (Krav Maga), and fencing are coordinated by the BBHMS Health and Physical Education Department and made possible through a generous “For the Love of Movement” grant in the amount of $4,000 ($2,000 per semester) from the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation. Thank you to the Middle School Health and PE Department and the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation for making these exciting activities available to our students.
