BBHHS junior Olivia Witt was recently selected to serve as a member of the 2018 Youth Advisory Council for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District. The Youth Advisory Council is overseen by Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (11th District – OH) and serves to engage high school students on issues most important to them. Participating students are given the opportunity to have a voice in the lawmaking process and exert influence on legislation that directly affects youth in Northeast Ohio and across the country. Olivia recently joined fellow peers from high schools across the 11th District by participating in an orientation meeting on January 20th, 2018. In the future, she will take part in several facilitated sessions with important community stakeholders, including members of local law enforcement and health care professionals. The BBHCSD congratulates Olivia on her selection to the 2018 Youth Advisory Council and recognizes her willingness to be a positive role model for teens.
