Power and Phone Service Restored Following Temporary Area Wide Brown Out
An area-wide “brown out” had impacted the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools earlier in the day, which means buildings experienced a temporary and partial loss of electrical power and intermittent phone service. All students remained safe and we thank the immediate involvement and oversight of our local public safety officials and The Cleveland Electrical Illuminating Company (CEI). The area-wide brown out impacted nearly 2,000 customers, as the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools kept closely and actively monitoring the situation. Power was restored to all buildings. Students were fed per their daily lunch routines. Students at Central School who were temporarily evacuated, returned to class, upon the authorization of public safety officials. If you are experiencing any difficulty in calling our buildings, please direct all inquiries to the Board Office at 440-740-4000.
