Chippewa Elementary School Hosts Pumpkin-Mania
Just in time for the autumn season, students at Chippewa Elementary School participated in “Pumpkin-Mania,” a fun, interactive and educational set of activities that involved the pumpkin. During Thursday and Friday of last week, students used their time during art class to visit various stations of learning. Some of these stations included predicting how many seeds are in an actual pumpkin, estimating the height and weight of a pumpkin, measuring their respective circumference and determining whether or not pumpkins will sink or float in a pool of water. Parents greatly assisted in the two days of activities, and the building leadership thanks them for their participation. In all, Pumpkin Mania brought a seasonal twist to some basic learning skills for the elementary students at Chippewa.
