First grade classrooms 10 and 11 at Hilton Elementary gave fellow students and staff a fun surprise with a flash mob performance during outdoor recess on Friday, May 25, 2018. Shortly after the start of recess, the students exited the rear doors and entered the blacktop area.  The catchy dance beats of Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling! from the animated film Trolls filled the air, and the students began an impressive dance routine led by their teachers to the delight of the other Kindergarten and first grade students.  Principal Martin joined in on the flash mob fun as well!  At the end of their performance, the students were greeted with cheers and high-fives before returning to their normal recess activities.  Participating in the flash mob was a wonderful experience for the students as it gave them an opportunity to express their “Make Someone’s Day Better” motto in a real way.  Thank you to all teachers and staff who helped to make the first grade flash mob a success!
