BBHHS Hosts Unified Flag Football Competition

Seven area high schools participate in fun-filled competition at the stadium.

Grey skies and a few scattered raindrops could not stop the excitement, teamwork, and spirit of togetherness present at the Unified Sports Flag Football competition hosted by Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Seven area high schools joined in for some friendly competition at the stadium, including Strongsville, Max Hayes, Highland, Woodridge, Cuyahoga Falls, St. Edward, and Stow. Each school’s team had the opportunity to be introduced by running out to the 50-yard line. During the competition, multiple games were played simultaneously in one of three designated vertical-oriented areas of the field, including the north end zone, 50-yard line, and south end zone, with student volunteers serving as game referees. Students and staff had a blast throughout the entire morning program, which was filled with exciting gridiron action, high-fives, and sportsmanship.

Unified Sports provides meaningful opportunities for both students with special needs and their student partners to interact, collaborate, and form friendships through various team sports activities. A special thank you to our BBHHS Unified Sports advisors, staff, and students for providing a fun, welcoming environment for all participating schools!
