BBH Intermediate Students' STEM Activity to Kick Off 2nd Quarter

stem4th

The first day of the second quarter was an active and instructive one for 4th grade intermediate students at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School, who devoted additional time in a creative activity with a S.T.E.M. focus. Students in Mr. Bihari’s class were organized into groups and given 25 plastic cups which they attempted to stack as high as possible. Constructive discussion took place instilling teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. In total, cups were stacked to an impressive height of 76 inches! Positively engaging students at young ages with exposure to the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics are designed to promote future interest, skill, and lifelong success. Great job 4th graders, and Mr. Bihari, with this interesting and collaborative lesson.
