Bookfair and Elf Shop

Thanks to our wonderful PSO for a very successful Scholastic Bookfair and Elf Shop. Pictures are below of the students making wish lists for books and a few pics of the elf shop. 

The EnergyGuyz Assembly 12/4/17

The EnergyGuyz put on an incredible show for the students. In the 25-minute interactive comedy, junior superhero Nikki Neutron is sent on a mission to stop energy from being wasted all over town. Along the way, Nikki and the students learn important lessons about resourses and conservation and discover how we all can do our part to protect the planet. Pictures are below.

Every year the 2nd graders are assigned a reading project. Then they decorate a pumpkin using the main character in the book. Pictures are below.

Mr. Wasil Duct Taped to the Wall- 10/12/17

Thank you to Ann Vertosick and Melissa Baldini for all their work on the No Fuss Fundraiser! We successfully hit our goal raising $10,012!! Thank you to Mr. Wasil for being a great sport and letting us tape him to the wall to end our fundraiser. Finally, thank you to Amy Pausche for donating all the duct tape! The children loved it!

Baby Ducks Hatch at Highland Drive

Maker's Club

The Makers' Club has been busy creating each week thanks to donations from parents, staff, and a grant from the BBH Schools Foundation. Second and third graders meet each week to engage in "making" of some kind. Check out our photos and more information here. 

Central Bark Doggy Day Care Visits Highland Drive

Central Bark- Doggy Day Care visited Highland Drive. This 30 minute assembly was very informative on how to approach dogs. Click here for more information about Central Bark. 

2nd Grade Cranberry Day


Students rotated through hands on learning stations (and taste testing!) where they use cranberries as a means of exploration.  Subjects covered for this fun day include Math, Social Studies, Science, and Reading.
 

3rd Grade Students and Descriptive Writing

3rd graders are learing how to write descriptive paragraphs. They are learning how to make popcorn from our very own POPCORN QUEEN Mrs. Schultz!

3rd Grade Smencil Sale

 3rd grade will be selling Smencils to raise money toward the Ronald McDonald House. The sale will start Monday December 11th - Friday December 15th during the 9:00-9:30 morning bus time and homeroom. Pencil smells are holiday cheer, cinnamon, sugar plum, candy cane, and gingerbread for $1.00 Please consider supporting this great cause.
