Snowball Structures

Third graders choose to complete in a STEM project, Snowball Structures, which is a collaborative effort to create the tallest free-standing structure out of 40 marshmallows and 50 toothpicks.

Eric "The Fish" Paton

Chippewa welcomed Eric "The Fish" Paton for an assembly on Friday, February 9.  Mr. Patton, who has traveled the world, taught the children about drum music from the cultures of Japan, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and many more island nations.

Pumpkin Mania, 2017

Thanks to the second grade teachers and our parent volunteers for planning this year's Pumpkin Mania for the students!  It was a fun...and educational...activity!

It was a great evening for all!  Thanks to all of the Chippewa families who attended our Grades 1-3 Open House!

Goldilocks STEM Challenge

Poor Goldilocks.  The three bears come home and find her fast asleep in Baby Bear's bed. Why is she sleeping there?  She has no bed of her own at home.  Baby Bear wants to build a bed for Goldilocks.  Can you be baby bear?  Requirements:  bed must sit at least two inches off the ground, it must be big enough and strong enough to hold Goldilocks, and it must incorporate index cards in some fashion.
