BBHHS Senior Addison Cave to Receive 2018 Governor’s Award of Excellence for Outstanding Artwork

 Addison Cave, a senior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, recently had artwork selected as “top twenty-five” in the 2018 Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition and will receive the 2018 Governor’s Award of Excellence.  The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition is a collaboration between the Governor of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Education, colleges, universities and corporate sponsors.  Addison’s artwork was selected from more than 11,000 works, which were submitted in fifteen regions located throughout Ohio.  The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Noon at The Riffe Center, Capitol Theatre, located at 77 S. High Street in Columbus, OH.  In addition to remarks by state jurors and other special guests, representatives from sponsoring colleges and schools of art will deliver scholarship presentations.  The BBHCSD community can view Addison’s award-winning artwork as well as selected works from students across Ohio at the opening of the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, located at 30 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH, on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00 PM.   The exhibition will remain open through May 17th from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on weekdays only.  Congratulations to Addison Cave on her impressive accomplishment!
