Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools Strategic Planning Steering Committee Generates Excitement

The next phase of the Strategic Planning process for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools recently took place at the Media Center of the High School with the Steering Committee convening to further elaborate and discuss future District objectives. Specifically, the Steering Committee, which is comprised of students, staff members, community leaders, citizens, administrators and others, reviewed the 8 strategic areas-of-focus that emerged from the 1st Steering Committee Meeting that took place earlier this school year. From there, input and data was brainstormed that will allow the District to be successful in accomplishing these areas-of-focus over the next five years. This discussion session essentially outlined a set of proposed action steps to reach the goals. Some of the strategic focuses included a continued strong performance in academics and co-curriculars, focusing on the whole child, an investment in staff to meet new demands, improving learning processes and outcomes and a focus on career-readiness. Participants enthusiastically weighed in with productive responses which evoked support, enthusiasm and anticipation for the strategic planning endeavor. The session was facilitated by retained, expert facilitators who are guiding the BBHCSD through this process. Stay tune for more information on the continued development of the District’s Strategic Plan.
