Middle School Students Collect Variety of Items for US Troops Stationed Aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt
MS troop donations

In a proactive gesture of compassion and thoughtfulness, students at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School gathered a number of items for troops stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt that have been stuffed into stockings for holiday gifts for our service men and women. Collecting a blend of toiletries with snacks, students assembled packages of toothbrushes, toothpaste, beef jerky and granola bars. They even brought leftover packaged candy from Halloween to include into the stockings to complete this activity of kindness. In total, more than 270 stockings were assembled and will be sent to the soldiers stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, which has a special place in the hearts of the Middle School team, as two staff members have family serving aboard the ship. BBHCSD applauds the MS students for their thought, time and energy to ensure that members of our Armed Forces would have their very own stocking this holiday season.
