Red Ribbon Week at Chippewa Commemorates Healthy Lifestyles

Red Ribbon Week was recently celebrated at Chippewa Elementary with a visible display of students and staff wearing the color red in their outfits to promote healthy lifestyles. Generally celebrated across the country during the month of October, Red Ribbon Week seeks to encourage students to make positive decisions about their well being while taking a stand against alcohol, tobacco and other harmful substances. Students were encouraged to wear the color red, which symbolizes the strength of saying no to drugs and other substances. Their efforts were reinforced by the supportive Chippewa staff, who also wore red attire throughout the entire week as well. Special thanks goes out to everyone who participated in Red Ribbon Week during the later part of the month of October.
