Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School hosted its 9th Annual Kick It with the Bees Event on Friday, June 1, 2018. Organized by Physical Education teacher Maria Schneider, Kick It with the BEES is part of Kick-It, a program of Alex’s Lemonade Foundation which is a national volunteer driven effort dedicated to raising money for children’s cancer research. Students and staff participated in kick-ball games by grade level on the football field and had the opportunity to enjoy lunch from a variety of food trucks, as well as music and other fun activities inside the gym. A portion of the food truck proceeds will be donated to the Kick-it with the BEES campaign. Fundraising efforts began in April 2018 and involved contributions from students, staff and the entire community. Business sponsors were listed on t-shirts worn by students and staff throughout the entire day. Over the past nine years, BBHMS has raised over $20,000 annually and more than $250,000 in total donations! Thank-you to the entire BBHCSD community for joining together and proudly supporting the Kick-It with the BEES campaign!
