Highland Drive Hosts Take Your Parent to PE Class Week
Take Your Parent to PE Class at Highland

Highland Drive Elementary is promoting parental involvement and physical fitness as part of Take Your Parent to Physical Education Class Week during the week of September 24th, 2019.  Students and parents at every grade level participated in a variety of fun and interactive activities coordinated by PE Teacher Josh Thacker.  Each class began with a game of Selfie Tag in which students and parents had to use a specific movement such as skipping to move around the room while two other students “tagged” those moving with a foam pool noodle.  Once tagged, the participant had to “freeze” in place, until another student or parent stopped and took a “selfie” with them.  Parents and students also rotated around the room to complete various timed activity stations which included exercises such as push-ups, squats, cross-over jumping jacks and dancing!  Fun and energetic music was played throughout the class as well.

The Take Your Parent to PE Class program is connected to Highland Drive’s recent Health and Wellness Week and reflects the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools’ commitment to encouraging everyone to “Bee Your Best, Bee One Community and Bee the Future.”  Thank you to all participating parents for helping to make Take Your Parent to PE Class Week a success!
