Members of the Student Council organization at Chippewa Elementary School have coordinated to promote an effort meant to demonstrate the endearment they have for their school building, called the “I Love Chippewa” initiative. Students, parents and staff members were invited to share why exactly they love the building, in exchange for paper hearts that were cut-out and then posted on the glass windows of the main office. Examples of why students love Chippewa included that they ‘loved the various classes, such as Physical Education and Computers,’ or that they ‘loved their teachers.’ In all, the I Love Chippewa initiative was spearheaded by Student Council to help demonstrate the love they have for “all-things-Chippewa” in advance of the Saint Valentine’s Day holiday.
