Central School’s Recess Garden Team has a “Rock-in” Good Time

Members of the Central School’s Recess Garden Team continued with their mission of promoting conservation, nature and learning about the world around them with their most recent activity last week: rock decorating! Stenciling authentic Delaware River Round rocks, students in the Recess Garden Club decorated more than a dozen rocks with their names and other creative artwork to be placed in and around the rain garden on the school’s west side. Students were taught about the importance of plants and composting while performing their artwork. Local environmental enthusiasts John and Jo Ann Bartsch and Albin Weiler helped to lead the discussion with the students. Nice job to the students and a special thank you to the adults who devote their time to helping promote these special activities.
