BBHCSD Holds Commencement Ceremony This Past Weekend

Commencement 2018

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District hosted its 135th Commencement Ceremony, at the State Theater on Playhouse Square in Downtown Cleveland this past weekend, to honor the graduating Class of 2018. Superintendent Joelle Magyar welcomed family, friends and other distinguished guests to the ceremony and shared a message of encouragement to the students to truly live their respective lives. A special rendition of the contemporary popular song, “I Lived,” was performed by a group of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School underclassmen. This was followed by a series of student speeches, who reiterated general themes of living life to the fullest, leaping forward with confidence into the future and recapping the many memories that have accompanied the class through their high school journeys. High School Principal Steve Ast, along with his team of assistants and guidance counseling staff, formally congratulated the Class and distributed diplomas with the help of several BBHCSD Board of Education members.  In total, the graduating Class of 2018 earned more than $16 million in total scholarships, awards and grants. Of that, $85,000 were donations that came from local organizations, for which the District is truly thankful. Congratulations, Class of 2018, and all the best in your future endeavors.
