Robotics Team Competed at World Championships

BBHHS had three Robotics teams attend the U.S. Open in Iowa. After 10 qualification rounds two teams were in Tournament play. 2011 D was the 10th seed and 2011 B was the 16th. Both teams advanced in the first round of play but were eliminated in the quarterfinal round. Team 2011 D won a tournament called the "Mega Alliance Tournament" and Team 2011 B was awarded the "Bracket Buster Award" after beating the #1 seed in the first round of the tournament. 2011 B competed and finished in the top 20 at the World Championships April 20-23. Craig Kowatch and Ryan Goubeaux, BBHHS teachers and Robotics advisors work many extra hours with these enthusiastic students.
