Dear Central Families,
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! The opportunity to serve as the newly appointed principal at Central School is truly special, as I began my teaching career at Central in 2000, spending fourteen years in the fourth-grade classroom. I then moved to a new role leading professional development throughout the District as the mathematics instructional coach. After earning my administrative license from Baldwin-Wallace University, I returned to Central School to serve as assistant principal for the 2017-18 school year. My wonderful family includes my husband, John, and our two boys, John and Colton.
At Central School, our focus is on supporting the academic, social and emotional growth of every child. We seek to accomplish this goal through various character education initiatives, by promoting creativity and innovation in the classroom, and ensuring a caring, safe environment for all students. Building and maintaining strong relationships with parents, students, staff and community partners is an important part of helping our students succeed. By working together, we will provide our students the best possible opportunities and help prepare them to be lifelong learners. Regular communication through our building website, email updates and Twitter, @Central_BBH
, will keep families updated on important news and highlights of student learning.
I am honored to have been selected to serve this community and will work hard to gain your trust and respect as Central School’s principal. My door is always open, and I welcome the input of our families. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions or ideas you may have. Let’s make this the best school year yet!
