Modeling Assessment Development

Thank you for your interest in the Modeling Assessment Development Series and the question bank that represents the culminating efforts of educators who participated in this experience. For your convenience, the Summit County Educational Service Center’s Curriculum & Instructional Technology staff created this demo CD which consists of multiple choice, short answer and extended response question samples for reading, math, science and social studies.

Terms of Agreement

For those districts that participated in this assessment literacy experience, the curriculum director will receive one CD with the questions developed by team members as well as questions from the State of Arizona Department of Education, Maryland State Department of Education, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Education, the State of Ohio Department of Education and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP): National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Department of Education. as indicated by the letters noted in the introduction.  The questions (public domain) used from these sources were adapted to align with the Ohio Academic content standards, benchmarks, and indicators. 

Since only one CD will be issued, we request that curriculum directors keep an inventory of additional CD’s reproduced for building and classroom use and be documented for ESC records.  No part of the CD may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical including photocopy, recording, or any information storage and retrieval system outside of your district.  As additional questions are added to this bank, updates to participating districts will be distributed.
