Attention All Alumni Baseball Players
Currently we have the names of over 450 alumni dating back to 1943. We are trying to contact these alumni baseball players for several reasons:
1. To make the alumni more familiar with the current BBHHS baseball program.
2. To build tradition.
3. To collect stories and memories these ball players have of their ball-playing days. These stories
need to be written down for posterity sake.
4. To have our current players connect with the players of the past.
5. To help our players feel part of a larger baseball family.
6. To hold alumni events.

Class of 1950 - 60th Reunion
The Class of 1950 will be celebrating its 60th graduation anniversary with reunion activities the weekend of June 25-27, 2010. Friday, Leo Bender will be hosting a cookout at his home. Saturday morning is the Alumni Pancake Breakfast in front of the Old Town Hall. Saturday night is the Alumni Banquet. Sunday is a breakfast buffet at Days Inn & Suites Richfield (formerly the Quality Inn & Suites Richfield). There is a golf outing on Friday at Briarwood Golf Course. Look for further information in the 2010 Pollen Count. Also, there are rooms blocked that weekend at the Days Inn for $72.00 per night. Class of 1951 - 60th Reunion

Class of 1955
The Class of 1955 will celebrate its 55th anniversary in 2010. The following are the tentative plans. (NEW TIMES) Thursday, June 24th afternoon, we will take the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad at 9:20Am for a train ride to Akron and lunch at The Spaghetti Warehouse followed by an evening get-together. Friday, June 25th, the Alumni Golf Outing is in the morning followed by an afternoonand evening picnic at Ruth Ann's . If there is enough interest, Saturday, June 26th there is a Trolley & Boat tour in the morning and early afternoon. The Alumni Banquet is in the evening. Sunday, June 27th is the Alumni Pancake Breakfast. Some of the plans depend on how many plan to attend, such as reserving a block of hotel rooms and the Trolley & Boat tour. Please let Dave Hunes know if you plan to attend. Eighteen classmates, nine are from out of town and eleven spouses have said they plan to attend. Class of 1956 - '56ers Find Much To Do
The Class of '56 had their summer picnic at the home of Lucy and Budd Snow. The light rain did not dampen any of their spirits and a good time was had by all. Class members continue to meet for weekly lunches at various restaurants in the area. As usual, a Christmas get-together is planned and this year it wil be at Pipers III. Class of 1961 - 50th Reunion
Plans are coming together for our 50th reunion to be held in conjunction with the annual Alumni Banquet on the weekend of June 24-26, 2011. Our class will be honored as Brecksville celebrates its bicentennial that same weekend. We have established the class website at: www.bhs61.org. It will be patterened after the Class of 1959 site www.bhs59.org. Check out the Class of 1959 site to get a feel for how our completed site will appear. A questionnaire has been distributed to each class member to complete with their current information. The questionnaire can be returned via e-mail to the class reunion e-mail adress at: reunion@bhs61.org or mailed to Nancy Carter Trantum at 1112, Parkdale Ave., Lansing, MI 48910. We have received several responses and hope to get many more in the next few months with all responses needed by September 1, 2010.
Classmates are requested to provide a current photo of themselves for a "Then" and "Now" comparison. Also, please provide any class photos as well as pictures, newspaper articles, etc. from our school days for adding to the website. Class of 1967 News
Eileen Wierzbicki Werkman has created a new group on Facebook called "Brecksville-Broadview Heights Class of 1967". It will provide the class with another way to connect, network and share. Picnic: The Class of 1967 will hold its annual pcinic on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Meadows in the Brecksville Metropark Reservation. The picnic will start at 1:00pm. An e-mail with more information will follow.
Christmas Party: The 13th annual Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 7:30p.m. in the Fireside Room at the Days Inn & Suites - Richfield (formerly the Quality Inn & Suites Richfield).
Class of 1968 Information
Due to the lack of interest, there will not be a clambake in Ravenna in October. A plan is in the works to celebrate the classmates' 60th birthdays next year in Las Vegas.
Class of 1970 - 40th Reunion
The Class of 1970 will hold its 40th reunion on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Rockside Road and Rte. 77 (formerly the Sheraton). There will be a golf outing on Friday, October 15th. A casual get-together is planned for Friday evening with the location to be determined at a later date and this information will be included in the actual invitation. Class of 1973 Plans 40th Reunion
"No blame, No excuses, No whining!"
What are you doing in the Fall of 2012? Check your Blackberry, PDA, Daytimer or paper calendar right now and see if you have anything noted. If you do, then you are a rockstar of epic proportions planning life that far in advance! But, our guess is that you don't - so take a moment right now and pencil in "My 40th Class Reunion" in the Fall of 2012.
No Blame: - Why are we planning so far in advance you may ask? Well, if you are a member of the infamous Class of 1973 then you will understand why. The last time we all got together was for our 25th reunion ages ago. For reasons unbeknownst to us, we just haven't been able to pull another one together for almost 15 years. Thus, the "No Blame" motto. We don't care why is hasn't happened, we just want to have it happen! Who are the "we" Kimosabi that are planning this gathering? We are just a bunch of random '73 Bees who connected on Facebook and thought we would use modern technology to bring us all together to celebrate our 40th. And why the Fall of 2012? Well, just in case you believe the theory the workd will end in December of 2012, we didn't want to take our chances and wait until 2013. Yes, silly or superstitious perhaps - but let's lighten up and celebrate together.
No Excuses: Now that we have given you fair warning of the upcoming reunion plans, there should be "No Excuses" not to come. Can't imagine you would have a conflict because we are giving you lots of notice. Can't use the excuse you cannot afford to come to Brecksville because if you saved 10 cents a day for the next 2 1/2 years, you would probably have your trip expenses covered. However, you CAN use the excuse that you don't care, that you never liked anyone in your class anyway...but they why are you checking the Alumni website?
No Whining: If you are interested in attending and want to know all the details, we don't have them yet. We do know it will be somewhere in or near Brecksville and we know we don't want to have a posh, expensive event...but that is about all we know. Except for the fact we know we cannot please everyone's expectations. If we can all accept that fact and agree to be gracious and accept whatever comes, then we will have a blast at our 40th reunion. We will rock on and dance to the music of the 60's and 70's; kid each other about the losing or graying of our hair; brag about our "glory days" and hopefully rekindle a bit of the joy of our youth for a few precious hours.

Class of 1982 is 28 Reunion
Yes, it is true. Our class if finally having a reunion party - "Class of 1982 is 28!" A fun-filled evening will begin at 6:30pm on Saturday, July 10th at RJ Boland's Restaurant and American Saloon, Cleveland. B'ville's Chef Doug Fulton is offering an extensive hot hor'deuvres buffet throughout the evening along with a cash bar. The cost is $20.00 per person paid in advance.
