Mr. Balasko was elected to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education in 2003 and reelected in 2007. A resident of Broadview Heights since 1997, he is an active PSO volunteer working on projects such as the Hilton Habitat, Science DZ, Hilton's Safety and Security Committee, and COSI Science Day. He served as the Hilton PTA and Central PSO School Board Representative when a parent in each of these schools. In 2002-2003, Mr. Balasko was a member of the district's long range plan Facilities Committee. His second term on the Board expires in December 2011.

Mr. Balasko works as a chemical engineer and is also certified as a private police officer, industrial firefighter, HAZMAT Technician and First Responder.


Alan W. Scheufler, Vice President

A resident of Brecksville, Alan W.Scheufler has lived in the community since 1981. He began his involvement with the district over fifteen years ago serving on a Blue Ribbon Committee examining the district's finances. Mr. Scheufler co-chaired the 1994 bond issue campaign for the new high school and three operating levy campaigns. He was a Trustee of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation for 10 years, serving as president for 6 years. Mr. Scheufler  was elected to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education in 2003 and reelected in 2007 His new term of office begins January 2008 and expires on December 31, 2011. Mr. Scheufler is a business law attorney with a large law firm in Cleveland

  
 Mark Jantzen

Mark Jantzen was elected to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education in 2009. A resident of Brecksville since 2002, Mr. Jantzen brings to the Board his experience gained in executive leadership roles in business. Mr. Jantzen has also been active in both community and CYO youth sports programs in numerous coaching roles. His daughter is a student at BBH High School. His current term expires on December 31, 2013.

 

Terri Neff

A resident of Brecksville, Mrs. Neff is a former teacher in both public and parochial schools.  A past PTA unit and council president, she co-chaired three levy campaigns and served as the treasurer of the Schools Issues Committee for a fourth campaign before running for the Board in 1999.  Two of Mrs. Neff's three sons are recent BBH graduates.  Her youngest son attends the high school where Mrs. Neff remains active in parent support organizations.  She has been the district's representative to the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center for the past few years and is currently the president of that Board of Education. Mrs. Neff was reelected in 2007 for an additional term which will expire on December 31, 2011.

 

David Tryon

For over 20 years David and Sandy Tryon have lived in Brecksville and Broadview Heights. Their daughter is in the BBH High School. David was elected to the Board in 2009.

David is a litigation partner at the law firm of Porter Wright Morris and Arthur. His practice involves resolving commercial and complex legal disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

David has served on the Brecksville Board of Zoning Appeals and the Board of the Brecksville Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Chairman of the BSA 100th Anniversary Parade Committee, the Chairman of the Fair and Impartial Courts Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association, and as a leader in other professional organizations. His term expires on December 31, 2013.
