Board Members Want You to Know
Typically, as board members, we are asked questions on a broad range of subjects. In recent days, most questions are associated with the upcoming renewal levy, the Strategic Vision process and labor related topics. We are committed to transparent leadership and being responsive and appreciate hearing from you. Please note, that unless you request otherwise, your communications will be shared with the full board.
As members of the board working toward successful outcome in all educational areas, we remain committed to three guiding principles: quality education, fiscal responsibility and fairness to employees. And, in the spirit of transparency, we will continue to provide factual information on this website in a timely manner.
Public Employee Salaries
The topic of employee salaries is sensitive. Some believe salaries and benefits are too low, others say too high. Some think salaries should be disclosed. Others think they should be kept confidential. By law, employee salaries are public information. Our employees are proud of their work and merit a good wage. As a Board, we do not take exception to our employees pay. However, we must continue to be mindful of the financial realities of our District. For those who are interested in this public information on this topic, it can be found on this Ohio Department of Education link.
