Bee Athletic Boosters Minutes
December 5, 2005
Present at meeting:
Marcia Cline, Karen Ryan, Judy Zamaria, Larry Zgrabik, Bruce Noggle, Mark Wirkus, Jan Wirkus, Jane Bowditch, Charlie Towne, Dan Kalinsky, Joe Kosek, Bruce Trippett, Nancy Payton, John Lambert, Suzanne Lambert, Doug Geib, Anne Rosenthal.
Joe Kosek welcomed all in attendance. Judy Zamaria motioned to dispense reading the minutes; Jane Bowditch seconded.
Membership Report:
Jane reported that there are 2 additional memberships. Dan Kalinsky will set up a booth at concessions at Friday's Basketball game for membership - Jane to make a poster for the booth to "join and get in free today".
Treasurer's Report:
Doug Geib reported that are no big changes; we still have $50,000 in uncommitted funds; $15,000 is committed but not spent yet. Discussion to possibly set up and extra account for monies collected in membership for a future major expenditure (minus the expenses of membership). About $6,000 of collected $$ goes back to athletics, which could go back into fund also; i.e. old stadium renovation or artificial turf for high school football field. We still would have fundraisers for regular expenditures and allocations; could be a great long-term benefit to have available for long-term projects - will be brought up with executive board.
Committee Reports:
Reverse Raffle:
Jim Tricomi will be in charge of Reverse Raffle and Silent Auction - Bernie Lozar will chair Reverse Raffle. Jane will do the layout of the program. There will be a January mailing soliciting the donations; the follow-up calls are what really generate the most. It was mentioned to get a copy of the database from Charmagne Cimaglia.
